Standard appointment (50 mins) $280
Referrals and Rebates
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist.
However, in Australia, under the Medicare Benefits Scheme, eligible clients who are referred by their General Practitioner (GP) with a Mental Health Care Plan may receive a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per individual session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
People who wish to claim a Medicare rebate are required to have
• A current Mental Health Care Plan, and
• A referral letter addressed to Susan Thiesfield from their GP or psychiatrist.
Private health insurance rebates may apply. Check with your individual health insurance provider as rebates differ between funds.
Cancellation/Non-attendance Policy
As psychology services are in high demand a minimum of 24 hours notice is required to reschedule your appointment without incurring a cancellation fee. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice and missed appointments will incur a cancellation/non-attendance fee equivalent to the full cost of the session. Please note, this fee is not covered by Medicare.
